Identities
Resolve an identity
Every signer on TrustedAnchor is a decentralised identifier (DID). Resolving it shows the keys it allows to sign, fetched directly from where the identity is published.

Identity namespaces at trustedanchor.io
| Identifier | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|
| did:web:trustedanchor.io:org:<id> | An organisation using the inspection service. Its keys are the devices an administrator has approved. | Live |
| did:key:z6Mk… | A single device key. The identifier is the public key itself, so nothing has to be fetched. | Live |
| did:web:trustedanchor.io:<CC>:<company no.> | A company anchored to its national register (UK, NL, ZA). | In development |
| did:webvh:…:trustedanchor.io:issuers:<name> | An issuer profile: a named system of record that signs credentials about people, such as an identity check or a crew passport, limited to the credential types it is registered for. | In development |
| did:web:trustedanchor.io | TrustedAnchor’s own root identity. | No keys published yet |
The root identity does not sign anything today, and we say so rather than publish a key with no defined use. Its key ceremony and policy will be in the practice statement before it signs anything.
